How it’ll work
Each 2 day school will accept up to 12 participants, not including youth leaders/workers.
Participants will be split into groups of three and each group assigned the same two archaeology students for the duration.
We will be flexible about organisation, taking into account the needs of participants, but will try to keep a high ratio of supporting students to participants.
School instructors will have PVG scheme membership, first aid and child protection training.
The school will use the Dunfermline Abbey Graveyard and the Carnegie Museum and Library.
The excavation site will all be securely fenced off, but visible and approachable to the public. Activities beyond the fenced area will be supervised by instructors and group leaders.
Public toilets are available in the Museum and Library.
